Kaas Pathar & Beyond: Maharashtra’s Valley of Flowers

Located in the majestic Satara district, the Kaas Plateau (Kaas Pathar) is a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site and Maharashtra’s very own Valley of Flowers. As the monsoon showers begin to retreat, this unique volcanic plateau transforms into a breathtaking, endless carpet of vibrant, rare wildflowers. To make this expedition even more special, we have combined the floral marvels of Kaas with the rich Maratha history of Ajinkyatara Fort and a refreshing visit to the hidden Ekiv Waterfall. This is the ultimate weekend getaway for nature lovers, photographers, and heritage enthusiasts.

Tour Highlights & Must-See Attractions:

  • The Magical Kaas Plateau: Walk alongside millions of blooming wildflowers, including rare orchids, insectivorous plants, and endemic species that paint the entire plateau in spectacular shades of pink, purple, and yellow.

  • Historic Ajinkyatara Fort: Step back in time at this 16th-century Maratha stronghold. Known as the “Impregnable Fort,” it offers sweeping, panoramic views of Satara city and the surrounding Sahyadri ranges.

  • Pristine Ekiv Waterfall: Take a scenic detour to the beautiful Ekiv Waterfall. Hidden away in the lush greenery of the Satara region, it is the perfect spot to relax and capture incredible nature portraits.

  • A Photographer’s Paradise: From macro shots of tiny, dew-kissed flowers at Kaas to wide-angle landscapes of fort ramparts and misty valleys, this itinerary is an absolute treat for your camera.
